Summer break is soon here! The time when we all stop for a moment and enjoy life! I’m sure I’m not the only one when I say that I wanna have a summertime glow up...right? I want to have a daily routine cleanse, have no obligations and be a new and improved person. When I return, I’ll have a unique style, perfect glowing skin, a fun personality… Wait. I might have gotten caught up there, but I think you get the picture. As the warm moments are just around the corner, the upgraded version of yourself is too!! So use this extra time to prepare. Here’s the supreme glow up guide:
Step 1: Firstly, ask yourself: What do I want to improve? It doesn’t have to be your looks, it can be your habits, mental health, really anything!! You can even try to achieve an organized or aesthetically pleasing bedroom.
Step 2: Next, figure out: What are my goals? Where does the improvement need to be done?
Step 3: How can I achieve my goals? Write it all down, if it’s hard, ask a friend to help you!

Step 4: Make a plan! If you’re like me, you love to sit down at a clean desk, get your colorful fineliners out and make a perfect and - don’t forget - realistic plan. If you have attempted that summer body multiple times and you’re telling yourself to do something out of reach, add a stepping stone to help you reach that. It must be realistic, otherwise you will not achieve it! Be honest with yourself while writing this all down. But back to fantasy - that dream when you make a perfect plan, it’s easy to achieve and your goals are served on a golden platter… Okay, maybe I got a little too distracted there. The idea is to turn that dream into reality!!
Step 5: Follow. Your. Plan.
Ladies and gentlemen, the step you have ALL been waiting for!! The...hard part. After the first few steps you might be telling yourself: “Motivation? Pffff! You’re more likely to win the lottery than get me motivated!” You know yourself best, what will get you motivated, what will tire you or excite you, anything! Write a motivational letter for yourself beforehand for you to read when the drive is in the darkest depths of the ocean. If it’s impossible to find, ask yourself: Why did I start? I didn’t start to stop. The process is long, but quitting won’t speed it up! Or just search up motivational quotes to help you (I’m guilty of that... oops!). And- no! Don’t start to search up Youtube videos on how to get motivated or watch others achieve their goals!! Get yoself off yo booty and do it!!! If you don’t, it will just turn into a cycle. You want to do it, it goes perfectly well in your mind, but. But-! But-! But-! But-! You’ll always find an excuse. The time is NOW!!
Step 6: Feel good, because you’ve officially gotten past the barrier and you are just vibing because you have achieved your goal!! Keep it up!!!
